Getting to Know You First
Dr Jayden’s approach to general dentistry is to chat with patients first — finding out what is on their mind, what they have noticed, and what they would like to address — before beginning the clinical examination. This helps ensure the appointment is focused on what matters to you, rather than following a generic checklist.
The Examination
Once your concerns and goals have been discussed, Dr Jayden carries out a thorough examination of your teeth and gums. X-rays and clinical photos are taken as part of this process, both to check for anything that is not visible to the naked eye and to establish a clear baseline for your dental health. This is particularly useful when discussing your current dental health priorities and what the appropriate next steps might be.
X-Rays and Clinical Photos
X-rays help identify decay, bone changes, and other concerns that are not visible during a standard visual examination. Clinical photos give Dr Jayden and the team a record of where things are at each visit, making it easier to track changes over time and show you what your clinician is seeing.
How Often Should You Come In?
Dr Jayden recommends a check-up and clean every six months for most patients. Some patients benefit from coming in more frequently depending on their individual oral health needs, but six months is the standard interval when everything is stable. If you have gum concerns or are managing ongoing dental health issues, your clinician may suggest a closer review schedule.
