Decayed or damaged tooth structure is carefully removed while preserving as much healthy tooth as possible. (Same visit, typically 15-30 minutes depending on cavity size)
Cavity preparation and cleaning
The prepared cavity is thoroughly cleaned and may be treated with antibacterial solution before the filling is placed. (Same visit, typically 5-10 minutes)
Filling placement and shaping
The filling material is placed in layers if needed, shaped to restore the tooth's natural contour, and adjusted for a comfortable bite. (Same visit, typically 15-30 minutes depending on material)
Polishing and aftercare
The filling is polished smooth, your bite is checked and fine-tuned if needed, and you'll leave with clear instructions for looking after it. (Same visit, typically 10-15 minutes)

What’s the difference between white and silver fillings?
