We want to share with you Mitchell’s makeover journey in Sunbury.
Mitchell is a lovely young bloke from Gisborne who wanted to feel confident in smiling and talking. He loves going out with friends, and over time, he felt self-conscious that his smile was not his best asset.
One of his upper front teeth had Root Canal Therapy years ago. Over time, his tooth discoloured and a lot of people noticed it, because it was visibly different from the rest of his teeth. It is not uncommon for teeth to turn darker in colour after being treated with a root canal. Depositing of pigment within the tooth from the nerve, usually due to major trauma, can cause the tooth to turn either grey or yellowish brown.
For his smile makeover, we made a customised Porcelain Crown for his upper central incisor to mimic the white spots he has on his other teeth. Mimicking the white spots made the Porcelain Crown restoration look natural and unidentifiable among his other teeth.
